To add any of these fixes:
Go to 'customize profile' on your Plurk
Scroll down to 'Customize your profile even more with CSS'
Paste the fix in the box
Hit save and update!

2. CSS for title bar is loaded before the main CSS. This is a really good thing in case you, oh, I don't know, accidentally flood your entire plurk with 600x600 John Cena images and can't even begin to figure out where you'd get to the "customize style" screen.
Not that I've ever done that; me flooding my entire plurk with 600x600 John Cena images was entirely intentional.
3a.
RGBA to the rescue. Red/Green/Blue/Alpha. 0.5 is 50% transparency.
3b. Yes, as you already saw in my plurk. I just reduced the width of the Stats block and the Friends block just neatly slid in next to it.
3c. Yes, but doing that, I think, will be an Adventure. I'm kinda tired to go into a big explanation of how I think it would work but I suspect it involves the nth-child things we both used for the stats, along with a lot of relative/absolute positioning.
3d.
Would make it completely blocky.
3e. Not in any way that I've found; if we had a way to introduce new «li» elements we would have a way to add arbitrary HTML which would REALLY just break everything open, but it looks like it uses those for each friend, and I can't see anywhere where that's configurable.
I would love to be wrong on 1, 2, and 3e, though.

I've been fighting with forcing the width for a while and can't seem to figure out how to make the stats box smaller! Would you mind terribly in sharing how you've accomplished it? ;u;
Scratch that, I figured it out! (Trial and error is great.)
