i see ads on my profile. this disgusts me. previously i had a layout that hid ads and i'm curious as to whether or not there's a fix for the appearance of these yet!

I just use an adblocker. If they still show up you can right click and block specific page elements to stop them.

I don't know if you're still having this problem or not, but I found the code to get rid of the banner ads that appear at the bottom of some plurks through a bit of googling.

I can't give credit to the original coder as it was in a plurk paste, but here's the code:

#plurk_ads,#plurk_ads img,#sliderAds.in,#sliderAds .adimg,#sliderAds .btnClose,#sliderAds .btnClose:hover,#sliderAds .btnClose .btnImage,#resp_banner_ads,#resp_banner_ads.show,#resp_banner_ads img.openx_img,.timeline #timeline_holder div.banana_plurk,.timeline #timeline_holder div.banana_plurk.impress,.timeline #timeline_holder.banana_show div.banana_plurk,div.adsense,section.adsense,section.adsense h3,div.cbox_ads,#top_bar .content a:nth-child(2){ display : none !important; }

You know, that thing when you hover over your karma arrow. This thing. Well, I removed the arrow in my layout, but the popup still haunts me. This popup always annoyed me, and today I figured out how to GET RID OF IT. Problem is? It only works in Chrome. Even though I've tried to get it to work in Firefox, for some god forsaken reason, it won't work anywhere else. But if you use Chrome, and you hate that popup too, here you go:

/*Hide Karma Tip Graph*/
.karma_tooltip, .karma_graph {
filter: alpha(opacity=0) !important;
-moz-opacity: 0 !important;
opacity: 0 !important;

Disclaimer: I'm not a coding wizard, I just tried what little I know about plurk code. As I said, it worked in Chrome, but for some reason, refuses to work in FF or any derivatives of it. If anyone figures out a code fix for this that works in both permanently, please, reply here. I'm at a loss. Plurk's code is a MESS to wade through.

Ahhhh I was hoping this would work for me since I've also been hunting for a way to do this, and I use chrome, but sadly it did not work :(

... Oh bugger. I swear it worked yesterday. MAYBE ONE OF OUR CODING WIZARDS CAN FIND A WAY TO MAKE THIS WORK.

I'm just not good enough to get it to do it. ;_;

Edit: ... Oh, weird. It's working on MY layout. I don't know why it isn't working on other ones.

Not quite a fix and horrendously late for Plurk Fuckup 02/2016 but I thought I would share this here in case the current plurk going around gets lost.

Pastebin version for easy access
background: #333;
background-color: #fff;
border-color: #ddd;
border: 1px solid #ddd;
border-radius: 5px;
bottom: 102%;
color: #000000;
left: 0%;
padding: 5px 15px;
position: absolute;
z-index: 98;
width: auto;
content : "NAME (character @ GAME)";
NOTE: requires the forwardslash / to remain before the plurk name. Plurk names are case sensitive to the URLs of the users. Content must retain quotation marks " around the text you would like to use.
To make a Stylish script (to work on all areas of plurk, including single-view plurks and other timelines), add the following before continuing to add sections as normal:
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("plurk.com") {

plurk coin

[personal profile] magpies 2017-02-23 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi everyone! Has anyone figured out how to possibly hide the plurk coin symbol that ends up in our dashboard?

It looks a little something like this:

If we can't hide it, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing it to the bottom corner either? Thank you for anyone that looks at this ;;

Hi! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind showing me how you consolidated the profile details to all be under the userpic? I love the sleekness of it.

Thank you!
